The world of ‘Battlestar Galactica’ is full of big-screen adventures, too

As we head into our third season of “Battleship,” we’re starting to see a lot of big movies.

And the next few seasons of “Star Trek” and “The Walking Dead” will all feature new, more dramatic adventures.

But in the midst of all of this, we can also be reminded that we have a few classic movies to look forward to.

Here’s our rundown of the best, most beloved movies from the past 25 years that will be in our laps for another season.

The Avengers: Captain America (2002) (1.7) “I’m not sure if this movie was ever meant to be a classic, but the first Captain America movie, released in 2002, is probably the best one of all time.

The way it was shot was a lot more dramatic than the other movies that followed, and the way the whole cast came together for the final act was pretty amazing.

It’s also worth noting that it’s the only movie in the franchise that features Steve Rogers in the role of Captain America, who in the comics was portrayed by Sam Wilson.

And that’s pretty much all the great characters you can come up with in a movie of that magnitude.

The Avengers: The First Avenger (2003) (2.0) A little-seen sequel to the smash hit “The Avengers,” this film follows the team as they continue to take on the new threats they face on Earth and across the galaxy.

It was released a few years before “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” but it doesn’t look like any of the action scenes are coming to theaters anytime soon.

(The movie was actually released on VHS in the late ’90s, though it has been remastered.)

The Avengers 2: War of the Worlds (2004) (3.0)(1.5) This sequel to “The Winter Soldier” is the only film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to not have a starring role.

However, it has a couple of key nods to the comic book world, including one scene in which a robot battles a giant spider and the introduction of a giant red-eyed human.

(Also, if you thought the first movie was awesome, this movie is even better.)

Thor: The Avengers” opens in theaters on May 3, 2018.
